Thompson, Boyer & Tindore elected to Fort Hall Business Council

Broncho & Appenay win LUPC seats

FORT HALL — Donna Thompson, Devon Boyer and Michael Tindore Sr. were elected to the Fort Hall Business Council May 29 while Aaron Broncho and Casper Appenay were voted in to the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes Land Use Policy Commission.

Thompson received the most votes with 376, Devon Boyer with 325 and Michael Tindore Sr. with 308 votes. Broncho received 479 votes and Appenay got 363 votes. They will be sworn into office at the next regular meeting on June 9.

Other FHBC candidates and the votes they received: Louise S. Dixey 294; Lemuel M. Stone 248; Ronald Todd Appenay 170. LUPC other candidates: Lorrie Ann Galloway 152 and Adam Boyd Hill 147.

Thompson said she is thankful for everybody for coming out and voting no matter who you voted for. “I want to thank all the other candidates; it was a good race. I also want to congratulate Casper, Aaron. I want to say for the next couple years, were going to do our best and continue to fight for what is right. I also look forward to working with Michael and the rest of the Council.”

Boyer thanked all the voters and said, “it’s a tough fight uphill every time, I appreciate the vote and will give it a best shot.”

Tindore thanked everyone for coming out, he said, “thank you to all for voting no matter who you voted for, I also thank everyone who entrusted me with their votes. I appreciate you and I’ll work hard for you, and every day that I come in and make sure your vote really meant something.” He also thanked everyone who helped with the election.

Aaron Broncho said, “I would like to thank my family and friends, all the committee and police who watched over the districts. I also want to thank all the other candidates who ran as well.”

Casper Appenay thanked everyone who voted and appreciates the people who voted for him.
