Shoshone-Bannock Casino Hotel hosts ribbon cutting, reception for area businesses

Sho-Ban Casino Hotel staff perform a ribbon cutting on April 9.

FORT HALL — The Shoshone-Bannock Casino Hotel welcomed regional professionals and community members on Wednesday, April 9, for its annual multi-chamber Business After Hours event, which this year also featured the official ribbon cutting for the newly renovated Chiefs Event Center.

The evening offered guests a first look at the updated event center and its renewed flexibility for a wide range of gatherings and occasions. Designed with adaptability in mind, the renovated Chiefs Event Center now better supports the changing needs of guests who reserve the space for concerts, weddings, quinceañeras, classroom-style events, cocktail receptions, and other special functions.

To highlight the versatility, the Shoshone-Bannock Casino Hotel’s banquets team presented a series of event setups throughout the evening, transforming the space to reflect the many ways it can serve the community. From celebration to instruction, from entertainment to connection, the event center was showcased as a space built to meet people where they gather.

The night also included special giveaways featuring concert memorabilia from past performances at the Shoshone-Bannock Casino Hotel. Guests had the opportunity to win signed guitars from Blue Öyster Cult, Brad Paisley, and the Urban Cowboy Reunion featuring Mickey Gilley and Johnny Lee. The inclusion of Mickey Gilley memorabilia carried special meaning, as the Shoshone-Bannock Casino Hotel hosted one of the final performances of his career before his passing.

The evening’s grand prize, awarded to an Idaho Falls resident, was a Ticket Certificate guaranteeing two tickets to five summer concerts at the Shoshone-Bannock Casino Hotel in 2026.

The annual Business After Hours gathering continues to serve as an opportunity to strengthen regional relationships while opening doors to new experiences at the property. This year’s event not only celebrated business connections but also marked an important step forward in the Chiefs Event Center’s continued evolution as a place for entertainment, celebration, and community gathering in Eastern Idaho.
