Lee Ann Morby
POCATELLO — Lee Ann "Lanny" Morby returned to the arms of her father and mother on Wednesday, March 10, 2010.
Lanny was born in Pocatello, Idaho, to Howard Samuel Lish and Arla M. Richardson Lish on February 14, 1939.
She was raised in Inkom, Idaho on the foothills of Mount Bonneville.  She was educated at Inkom Elementary School and Marsh Valley High School.  Lanny helped her father work on a dairy farm during the Depression, learning the value of hard work.  Her older sister said she was an outrageous flirt and never knew a stranger.  She was raised in the LDS Church.
Lanny had the distinction of being Pocatello Frontier Rodeo Queen in 1956.  In 1957, she went to nursing school to receive her LPN certificate and worked for St. Anthony and Bannock Memorial Hospitals.  If you wanted to know the gossip at the hospital, she knew about it.  But it was “strictly information” not gossip.  She considered herself “painter extraordinaire” and the wallpaper “queen.”  Many homes and businesses were graced with her hard work.  Part of her career in life was yard-saling.  She had a bumper sticker that said, “I brake for yard sales.”  That wasn’t a lie!  She also liked to collect buttons and handkerchiefs.  Lanny was the life of the party!
The last ten years she was in ill health because of a heart condition.  It was hard for her to slow down and not do the things she wanted to do.  We’ll miss her funny hahas and dry wit.  Her colloquialisms were legendary, for instance, “I really need that” and “You can and you will!”  If you had a ring on or a pretty scarf, you better not let her try it on, or she would “borrow” it.  The Lish family reunions will never be the same without Lanny.  Forget a handshake; she always wanted a kiss on the cheek, or a hug if she knew you well. All of the thrifts stores in town knew her by name.
She gave birth to: Shawn Munsee (deceased), AnaLee Lish, Alexander Edmo, Lisa Edmo, Leslie Edmo, Eric Edmo, and Marcus Hull.
She is survived by her husband, Dan Morby; stepdaughters, Susan, Vicki and Debbie; brother and sisters, Arlen M. Lish (baby brother), Claudia Wessel, and Sharon Lake.  Grandkids, Tazzie Edmo, Filaree Bassett-Clark, Colin Edmo, Krista Edmo, Marcus Taylor White, Lisa Bailey White, Maurice Edmo, Elizabeth Edmo-Sorrell, Randal Burnett, Aarika Edmo, Ethan Edmo, Arla Edmo, Olivia Edmo, Angel Edmo, Loren Edmo, Mariah Lee Ann Edmo and Edie Edmo.  She was “Grandma Great” to several great-grandchildren.  Too many cousins, nieces and nephews to count!  Lanny “adopted” daughter Martina Sittre and several others.
She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Lish and her mother, Arla R. Lish; son, Shawn, sisters, LaPreal Brookshire, Donna Geoghegon, brothers David, and Samuel Lish, and special friend, Wynell Dewey.
The family would like to give a big thank you to Portneuf Medical Center, their staff and doctors for their loving care they gave Lanny.
Funeral services for Lanny are Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at the LDS Inkom Ward Chapel, Inkom, Idaho. There will be a sunrise teepee vigil at the Good Shepherd Episcopal Mission on Mission Road in Fort Hall from 6 a.m. to noon, and there will be another visitation at the Inkom LDS Ward Chapel at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at the Inkom Cemetery.
Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.Colonial-FuneralHome.com.
